Card Cages

The EmPack’s card cage holds one or more foundation boards and optional mezzanine boards. Threaded holes in the two sides are compatible with standard 5 1/4" drive mounting screws. The cost of the card cage includes the front panel (not shown here).

Up to three mezzanine cards can be stacked on one foundation board. Two foundation boards can be mounted in a single half-height card cage to provide more T1/E1 interfaces.

Dimensions:
          5 1/4" W x 1 5/8" H x 8 1/8" D
          (Length includes boards extending out the rear but
          does not include front panel mounted fans or
          power plug.)

 

The foundation board is attached to the bottom of the card cage and all other boards are attached to the heat spreader plates which are, in turn, attached to the sides of the card cage.

Up to seven mezzanine cards can be stacked on one foundation board. Up to four foundation boards can be mounted in a full-height card cage to interface up to eight T1s or E1s.
