| The EmC12 is a stacking mezzanine board that provides
twelve channels of high quality audio with six Crystal Semiconductor
CS4231A stereo codecs. This board is available with an optional
80MHz Lucent DSP32C with 2MB of zero wait-state local SRAM.
Digital audio data to and from the codecs as well as the DSP is
routed through the TDM bus and the stacking connector to the
foundation board and other mezzanines.
Analog data is interfaced via a 68-pin high density SCSI cable
which can be either brought out the front panel of routed out
the back of the EmPack.
Adapting standard analog connectors to this SCSI cable can be
accomplished by the
EA-ISA cards
or a 19" rack mount
patch panel.
Two EmC12 mezzanines on one foundation board must be separated by
either another mezzanine or a
spacer.
Two LEDs for the DSP (visible through the front panel) are under
user software control.
