Empack Accessories

PCI to SCSI Ultra Wide

Part number: EA-PCI-SCSI3

Adaptec model AHA-2940UW host adapter and Adaptec EZ-SCSI software. Includes 68-pin UltraSCSI internal ribbon cable.

SCSI 50 to 68-pin adapter

Part number: ADP9050

Circuit board with 68-pin male SCSI connector on one side and a 50-pin male narrow connector on the other. Includes termination resistors for unused high order data lines.

BNC to Trompeter

Part number: ADBJ20-PL75

Plugs onto Trompeter CJ70 connectors on EmPack’s front panel to accept BNC male connectors. Separate adapters required for input and output lines.

EmPack Power Plugs

Since the power consumed by the mezzanines can be significant, each foundation and mezzanine board is equipped with a standard P1 disk drive power connector. Our power plug enables a stack of one foundation and three mezzanine boards or two foundation boards to be powered by either one or two power cords. A handle facilitates removal but can be removed if it interferes with the mounting inside the host computer. Overall length of the EmPack card cage with the power plug’s handle is ??".

If the stack of four EmPack cards consumes more than ??A, a second power cord must be used.

Mezzanine Spacer

Part number: EBX1

Component height prevents an EmC12 from being mounted directly above the foundation board (with T1 or E1) or directly above another EmC12. A spacer must be inserted between an EmPCI and any mezzanine above it to extend the bus connector. For example, the part number for an EmPack foundation in a half-height card cage with only an EmC12 mezzanine would be EHB2D2T1X1C2.
