The EmPack Host Application Programming Interface (EmAPI)
provides the host applications with functions to access and control
the EmPack hardware.
Currently, the API is implemented on Windows NT and the Solaris 2.6
operating system.
C-callable functions communicate with EmPack hardware to
- open and close EmPack resources
- download DSP executable files
- transfer data between the host application and the EmPack devices
- control the operation of the TDM, E1/T1 framers and CODECs
- manage device interrupts
The distribution includes a set of diagnostic and utility programs
written using the EmAPI. These programs can be used to test the hardware
and software installation and also demonstrate the usage of the EmAPI
functions.
Visit our
Empack Software Revision History page for information about the current EmPack API
software realease.
