CAC
provides both 6U and 9U VME boards based on Lucent's DSP32C.
Designed for digital signal processor applications in the
computer telephony marketplace, the DSP32C has retained
its position as one of the processors of choice for new
designs due to its ease of programming and improved
performance.
To augment the DSPs with peripheral I/O as well as
additional processors, we offer a selection of mezzanine
cards which plug into the baseboards while still
occupying only a single VME slot.
The TDM (Time-Division
Multiplexed) buses on these VME boards are used to
transfer data between the DSPs and the mezzanine boards.
A ribbon cable connecting the TDM expansion ports of
multiple DSP boards provides the user a serial data path
between multiple VME boards. These four software
configurable buses make it possible to share resources of
one board with all others on the TDM.
