This mezzanine board interfaces directly with
E1 lines, allowing the board to transmit
and receive in full duplex mode and still occupy only a
single slot. Robust electrical protection has been
designed in. Control for the framer chip is mapped into
the DSP's memory space and data is transmitted via the
serial port of DSP #1. If the codecs are to be used with
the E1 mezzanine card, they must be software
configured to communicate with the second DSP.
The
SBE1's HDB3 interfaces to either balanced or unbalanced
coax using miniature SMB connectors. SBE1 impedance
options are 50, 75 and 120 ohm. See the S-Bus DSP32 Software link
to find
the software API which performs channelization and record/
playback.
