Get Image to ETPhone (i.e. ftp or Multimedia Card) 2. Unmount the flash file system (ffs) From the ETPhone command prompt type the command: umount /ffs NOTE: If the umount fails it is normally because someone is accessing /ffs 3. Run lmap -s -U IMAGE_FILENAME 4. This process takes time and should not be canceled mid-update and do not turn the unit off mid-update. Failure to do so could result in unit failure. FTP Instructions: 1.FTP to the unit requiring updating username: root password: root 2. Switch to binary transfer mode 3. Put the file in /tmp NOTE: A good FTP client is FILEZILLA (www.sourceforge.org) Host API Software Installation Directions: The Host API Software is used to build user applications for reading and writing audio data to the ETPhone. 1. Copy the etphoneapi.tar from the CD to a user directory on the host computer. 2. Untar the file and see the 'README' file for more details. The ETPhone API tar includes the etremoteserve application in a gzip file, since the image file on this CD already include this version of the etremoteserver, the server does not need to be installed separately.
