Overview
This release is currently only available for the Windows 2000 environment. The same functionality will be included in a future release of the Solaris version of the DPT4 software.
The following changes are introduced in this release:
Note: This release includes new embedded code and FPGA configurations. Customers must run dpflashup after installation to make the DPT4 boards compatible with the new version of the library and device driver.
For Windows 2000 installations be sure to include the
"DPT4 Software Source Code Files" feature when choosing the setup type.
Doing so will include the source file, dpt1tdmdemo.c, in your
installation.
It will be installed in the dpt\bin folder.
Support for DM5420 smPCI Modules
New library functions provide support for accessing and controlling
DM5420 smPCI mnodules on DPT4 boards.
on the DPT4.
Support for Framer Data on TDM Subsystem
New library functions and additions to FPGA configurations provide
the ability to transfer E1 or T1 framer data to and from the TDM subsystem
on the DPT4.
This allows framer data to be received by and sent from smPCI modules.
New TDM and DM5420 Demonstration Program
Documentation for the new TDM and DM5420 library functions is not yet available.
For the time being the new demonstration program, dpt1tdmdemo,
provides an example of how to program the TDM subsystem to connect
framer time slots to and from TDM time slots and how to utilize the DM5420
smPCI module.
