Overview

Release 3.4.6 of the Empack software includes Version 3.4.6 of the host libraries and Version 3.4.5 of the Embedded Firmware and FPGA configurations.

The following changes are introduced in this release:

• Bug fix and test enhancement in emdiag diagnostic program.

Bug Fix and Test Enhancement in the Emdiag Diagnostic Program

Two buffer-overflow problems were fixed in the emdiag program. The problems were known to cause program to crash on Windows 2000 but could possibly cause trouble on other systems.

The program now has the ability to rotate which Empack is the SCSA master for SCSA expansion tests. In "expert" mode or when creating a diagnostic configuration file and if the Empacks are connected via SCSA the program will ask the user whther or or not to rotate SCSA masters. In this mode, the SCSA expansion test is run multiple times, once with each Empack as the SCSA master.
