Overview

Release 3.4.8 of the Empack software includes Version 3.4.7 of the host libraries and Version 3.4.8 of the Embedded Firmware and FPGA configurations.

The following changes are introduced in this release:

• Support for LSI Logic SCSI host adapters added to embedded code.

• There are no other changes in this release.

Note:

This release includes a new embedded code. Customers should run the emflash utility after installation.

Support for LSI Logic SCSI Host Adapters Added to Embedded Code

The Empack embedded code is modified to support LSI Logic SCSI Host Adapters. Those SCSI adapters initially assume that SCSI devices are disk drives. The Empack embedded code is now able to respond to commands that are inteneded only for disk drives.

This release includes no new API or other host software changes. The Empack API version remains at 3.4.7 and the emfind program will still report 3.4.7 as the API version.
