Mips Kernel Installation Instructions

The MIPS WM Kernel and the the Host Server are available as separatly downloadable archives.

Selecting Download WM Kernel will take you to the download directory for the current version of the WM Kernel. From there, select the the compressed tar file to download. The file, wmkernel_version.tar.Z contains the complete release of the WM Kernel.

Selecting Download PCISRV will take you to the directory containing all available versions of the Host Server. From there, select the the compressed tar file to download the desired version. The file, pcisrv_version.tar.Z contains the distribution files for the Host Server.

The distribution for pcisrv is also used as the host server for the MIPS PSOS environment and for installing mipsrv, the Host Server for the VME6U6 MIPS Mezzanine.

Installing WM Kernel

    For the above make command, replace os with either SUNOS (if the host is running SunOS 4.1.x) or SOLARIS (if the host is running Solaris 2.x). Replace compiler with the name (and path if necessary) of the compiler on your system.
