Overview

Version 2.2.0 of the V6M6 software and FPGA and CPLD configurations includes the following changes:

• TDM support for the DM4C6202 and DM4C6203 smPCI modules.

• Development support for new smPCI modules.

• Modifications to V6M6HS embedded code.

• Modifications to support and diagnostic programs.

TDM Support for the DM4C6202 and DM4C6203 smPCI Modules

FPGA configuration and API library changes provide support for TDM connectivity with DM4C6202 and DM4C6203 smPCI modules.

Development Support for New smPCI Modules

Several new smPCI modules have been under development:

PM7000	PMC-Sierra R7000 RISC processor.
DM5441	DSP processor moduel with 4 TI C5441 DSPs.
CMXCV	Module with user configurable Xilinx Virtex FPGA.
MM256 & MM512	Global memory expansion modules.

Preliminary support for these modules has been added to the API library, support programs and some of the diagnostic programs.

Modifications to V6M6HS Embedded Code

Version 520 of the V6M6HS loader code includes the following changes:
• The ROM level loader now tests the front panel switch labeled BLK. If it is pressed when the loader runs then the SDRAM loader is not invoked. This allows recovery from invalid SDRAM loaders.

• A new board type 4 (cluster) is added. When the EEROM board type is set to 4, then two additional values are read from the EEROM specifying the numnber of boards in the cluster and the position of the board in the cluster.

• Traces are now turned off in the distributed copy of the code.

Modifications to Support and Diagnostic Programs

The pciflashup program is fixed to properly restore the MIPS loader code in flash when one one of the two versions (rom or ram) is replaced.

The pcitdm diagnostic program is modified to include testing of DM4C6202 and DM4C6203 modules.

The pciburn diagnostice program no longer includes the VME master test for V6M6HS boards by default. That test requires a specific conifguration of V6M6HS boards. To include the VME master test use the -M option with pciburn.

Some minor fixes and enhancements have been made to several support and diagnostic programs.
