Overview

Version 3.1.5 of the VME6U6 / VME9U12 host software includes the following changes:

• Bug fix in the tdm_src_del library function.
• Modifications to the noise test diagnostics for C12, HC12 and AUX Codec Mezzanines.
• New run-time option for the dspburn diagnostic.
• Additional options for the dsptim diagnostic.

Bug Fix in tdm_src_del Library Function

The tdm_src_del function was fixed to properly delete TDM sources from 6UEXP mezzanines.

Modifications to Codec Noise Diagnostics

A bug in the way d3scp, d3hscp and d3auxscp interacted with the dspburn program would lead to incorrect error reports if the diagnostics failed to initialize the base board or codec mezzanine. This problem has been resolved with modifications to those programs.

New Run-Time Option for DSPBURN

A new option is added to the dspburn diagnostic program that specifies a finite number of test passes to perform. The option is -P followed by an integer number of desired passes. For example:

      dspburn  -P 3

will run the suite of tests 3 times on all the VME6U6 and VME9U12 boards found in the system.

When the -P option is omitted, dspburn defaults to continuous mode, performing test suite iterations until interrupted.

Modification to DSPTIM

The dsptim diagnostic program (used to test data transfer rates) now has options to specify the size of the transfers and number of data transfers. Another option was added to exclude DMA transfers from the test.

Run the program with no command line arguments for a synopsis of its options.
